This 'Devil May Cry' bundle costs $8,000, which is honestly stupid

It's one thing to drop a couple hundred bucks on a special edition video game bundle. It's another thing to spend thousands.
For the most diehard Dante fans out there, Capcom is offering a few different Ultra Limited Edition Devil May Cry 5 bundles that range from 600,000 to 900,000 yen, which is about $5,300 to $8,000. That is way too much money.
Capcom's official online store for Japan just opened its reservation period Monday for the big bundles (along with a handful of other, more reasonably priced bundles), so you can check them out and put your name down if you're interested.
The three Ultra Limited Edition bundles each include a copy of the game for either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, alternate box art for the game case, and one of three replica jackets based on the outfits of the three main characters of Devil May Cry 5.
Here's the bundle with V's jacket, which is $5,300:
V is new to the Devil May Cry series.

This is the bundle with Nero's jacket, which is $6,700:
Nero made his first appearance in 'Devil May Cry 4.'

And here is the Dante bundle, which is $8,000:

While the jackets are kind of cool, there's a very slim chance that whoever is buying them can actually pull the look off. It's kind of like the jacket from Drive — it takes a very particular kind of person to successfully pull these things off, and chances are that's not you.
Even if you just plan on displaying this or you are the rare individual that won't look like an idiot wearing any of these, the biggest issue that comes to my mind is: are these jackets really worth that much money?

Probably not.
